Downtown Houston Stakeholders –

Tonight, a violent storm ripped through our community. Downtown suffered significant property damage, including downed trees, shattered windows, and more. At Mayor Whitmire’s direction, we’re encouraging all Downtown employers to allow their employees to work from home, Friday, May 17th, to allow clean up crews the opportunity to remove the debris. "Digital Citizen” is a mural that raises awareness of Cyberbullying. It highlights the importance of safe and violence-free environments for children (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 16). With more children and young people spending time online, cyberbullying is the top concern for their safety when using the internet, according to the United Nations. UNESCO has strong evidence that prevention education for children is a key strategy to reduce cyberbullying and other forms of cyber violence.
