Downtown Houston Stakeholders –

Tonight, a violent storm ripped through our community. Downtown suffered significant property damage, including downed trees, shattered windows, and more. At Mayor Whitmire’s direction, we’re encouraging all Downtown employers to allow their employees to work from home, Friday, May 17th, to allow clean up crews the opportunity to remove the debris. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

One of two #EcosystemRestorationMurals to highlight growing trees as a way to restore local ecosystems and their functions for people and nature. Trees are essential to the well-being of communities, as they help fulfill our basic needs - breathing fresh air, drinking clean water and finding relief from the heat. Achieving Tree Equity requires planting and growing trees in communities where they’re needed most, so that people can experience the full benefits trees provide, no matter where they live.
