Downtown Houston Stakeholders –

Tonight, a violent storm ripped through our community. Downtown suffered significant property damage, including downed trees, shattered windows, and more. At Mayor Whitmire’s direction, we’re encouraging all Downtown employers to allow their employees to work from home, Friday, May 17th, to allow clean up crews the opportunity to remove the debris. Artist: Anthony Cragg

At the corner of Bagby and Walker streets stands the magnificent two-part sculpture In Minds, dated 2001- 2002 by internationally renowned artist Tony Cragg. Cast bronze with stainless steel armature, the narrow form (28' x 4') weighs 1800 lbs. while the shorter, more voluminous form (22' x 11') weighs 3800 lbs. The work was cast in Germany and shipped to Houston from the Port of Rotterdam in Holland.
