Downtown Houston Stakeholders –

Tonight, a violent storm ripped through our community. Downtown suffered significant property damage, including downed trees, shattered windows, and more. At Mayor Whitmire’s direction, we’re encouraging all Downtown employers to allow their employees to work from home, Friday, May 17th, to allow clean up crews the opportunity to remove the debris. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

“La Shamana” is a mural that celebrates Houston as an innovation hub. Of course, we all have in mind the achievements in space, but Houston is also known for its innovation in the healthcare sector and more recently for the incredible work of Dr. Maria Elena Bottazzi who was part of the dynamic duo that developed the free-patent “World’s COVID-19 Vaccine“, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022. The mural is dedicated to the incredible work done by Dr. Bottazzi and to all women in science!
