Downtown Houston Stakeholders –

Tonight, a violent storm ripped through our community. Downtown suffered significant property damage, including downed trees, shattered windows, and more. At Mayor Whitmire’s direction, we’re encouraging all Downtown employers to allow their employees to work from home, Friday, May 17th, to allow clean up crews the opportunity to remove the debris. Created by Texas artist and educator, James Surls, Points of View is an abstract sculpture is made of treated pine and painted steel. At 25 ft x 8 ft x 4 ft, the work has stood at Market Square Park since being dedicated in 1992.
