GREENLINK Transit Service Provider Request for Proposal (RFP)
The Houston Downtown Management District is implementing a circulator transit service to operate along a 2.5 mile fixed-route loop within downtown Houston with the goal of improving transit access for office workers, residents, visitors and other stakeholders in the area. The Greenlink Circulator Program is fully described in the following RFP document.

The District is utilizing funding assistance from the Federal Transit Adminstration (FTA) to purchase the seven 29-foot low floor CNG buses from Gillig LLC. The buses will be delivered in late April 2012, with the Greenlink service to begin operating in May 2012. The RFP process will meet all FTA guidelines; a projected schedule is below:
Issuance of RFP: December 21, 2011
Pre-proposal meeting: January 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Downtown District offices
Proposals due: January 25, 2012 REVISED DATE: February 3, 2012 (5:00 pm CST at District's office)
Award of contract: February 9, 2012 REVISED DATE: March 8, 2012
Pre-operations commencement: March 1, 2012 REVISED DATE: March 15, 2012

All questions and/or requests for clarification will be addressed in the District's Q&A which will be released to all potential responders on January 18, 2012. We encourage you to attend the non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting on January 9, 2012 at the District's offices at 909 Fannin, Suite 1650 at 10 a.m.
